Carrying Concealed Weapons - Observation of a bulge resembling a pistol supports a Terry stop.
Where the police observe a bulge in a pocket in the shape of a concealed pistol, the outline or printing through the clothing of a concealed pistol in a waistband, or other similar articulable facts that create reasonable suspicion that the individual is carrying a concealed pistol or a concealed weapon contrary to MCL 750.227, the police have reasonable suspicion of crime afoot that justifies a Terry stop.

Public notices often include information about budgets, financial reports and municipal projects that provide insight into the programs and projects that use taxpayer dollars.
These notices are important transparency requirements that help keep the public aware of the actions of elected officials and allow them to weigh in on decisions that can directly affect property taxes, utility costs or business expenses.
Legal notices also affect taxpayers’ lives with information about foreclosures, estate settlements and changes in local laws, which can alert residents to potential impacts on their property values and protect residents from scams and fraud that could cause them long-term financial damage.

Michigan court rules policyholder's PIP opt-out on Allstate policy ineffective

April 7, 2026
A Michigan appeals court just told insurers that a policyholder's word on a PIP opt-out form is not enough.

The result is that the policy must be treated as providing unlimited PIP medical coverage - a potentially costly outcome for the insurer.
