Adobe Sued By FTC Over Hidden Fees, Cancellation Issues
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is taking action against Photoshop parent Adobe (ADBE) and two of its executives for allegedly hiding early termination fees and making it difficult for consumers to cancel their subscriptions.
Adobe pushed customers to subscribe to "annual paid monthly" plans without properly disclosing that they would be required to pay an early termination fee – which is 50% of the remaining monthly payments – if they cancel in their first year, the FTC said in its complaint.

Michigan's distracted driving law leads to fewer crashes, more lives saved
Almost a year after the state's amended hands-free law went into effect, which outlawed all device usage while behind the wheel, data from a technology firm that tracks driver behavior in Michigan found on average a 12% reduction in distracted driving.
That amounts to 3,815 fewer crashes and 17 fewer deaths, Ryan McMahon of Cambridge Mobile Telematics said in an interview with the Michigan Department of Transportation.

However, veteran buyer's agents say home buyers can’t afford to forgo an agent. Trying to navigate a competitive market and a complicated buying process leaves buyers vulnerable to missteps, exploitation, and remorse.

To keep data safe without the help of noncompete agreements, law firms may turn to other tools to protect their business interests, such as nonsolicitation agreements and trademarks. For information to be entitled to legal protection as a trade secret, the owner of the information must make efforts to protect it that are reasonable under the circumstances.
